About Jennifer

Hello, My name is Jennifer (she/her)!

I am a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Kansas, a National Certified Counselor, and a graduate of Missouri State University’s CACREP-Accredited Mental Health Counseling Master’s program.

I help individuals struggling with burnout, negative inner voices, anxiety, depression, and super high self-created standards create balance between life and working or school. I also support couples who want to work on communicating their needs while respecting the needs of their partner(s).

I am under the direct supervision of Lee Harris, MS, LPC (Missouri 2012014466), LCPC (Kansas 2535), RPT-S, NCC.

Approach to therapy

My approach is strengths-based where we explore what systems and practices work best for you. While it’s important to have different coping strategies, it’s even more important for you to process stressors. Processing stressors helps you regain control over your thoughts and physical reactions to provide you with the relief and sense of power.

We will also collaborate on an individualized personal self-care routine and come up with things to try to maintain balance and harmony between your mind and body. My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental space for you to process what’s going on in life and help you find constructive ways to thrive, not just survive.

After experiencing burnout in my past career, I make it my business to help others not go through what I did. Feeling burnout does not necessarily mean you have to totally shift careers. In fact, working on buffers and preventative skills to avoid burnout might be all you need to feel in control again. Not sure what you’re looking for in a therapist? Reach out to see if I am a good fit for you.
