I think I’m experiencing burnout…now what?

Therapy for burned out professionals in Missouri and Kansas who want to work on creating better boundaries.

You have it all under control…or do you?

You’ve got you it all together…at least on the surface. But underneath, you’re struggling with this feeling of “isn’t this when I’m supposed to feel like I have it all?” Instead, you find yourself questioning your choices up to this point.

Things are starting to feel overwhelming

You’ve always been able to handle your own things (and others’), except now it’s harder to stay constantly in motion. You’re putting out fires left and right, and you realize none of it is stuff you actually want to do. You put in all this effort, money, and time into being a strong and knowledgeable person in your field, and now you feel numb, overworked, and underappreciated. You have the loving support of your friends, family, and perhaps a partner, but they don’t get why you don’t “just quit”. On the surface, you’ve achieved all the things you’ve been working towards – shouldn’t you be feeling grateful instead of…nothing?

If only there was someone who could help you the way you help everyone else. If only someone helped you take things off your plate instead of putting more things on it.

Your dreams vs. your reality

You promised yourself you would spend more time on things you love: taking trips, traveling abroad, getting your own place, and enjoying your job at the same time. Now you’re in debt, still renting vs. owning, and the idea of travel feels unobtainable rather than inevitable.

At the end each workday, you feel drained, exhausted, and unable to show up for your friends and family. It feels like you’re giving all of your energy and attention to things and people that aren’t as important as YOUR things and people. But where are you supposed to find that extra energy or time?

It’s time for a change in method, and you don’t have to do it alone

In your extensive list of tasks and constant stimuli, it’s hard to take a step back and see ways you can reclaim control of your life. That’s where I come in.

Hi, my name is Jennifer, and I specialize in helping you figure out what matters most to you and how you can bring those dreams to the forefront. I’m committed to helping you discover your strengths and take some things off your plate, while making yourself a priority in your own life, and setting boundaries to protect your time (and sanity!) at all cost. Sounds pretty great, right? Trust me, it is!
